Don't Pitty God - 25 February 2024
We often limit God's power because of our own lack of faith and vision. When the disciples in Luke 9 questioned how they could possibly feed the multitude gathered, they revealed a limited perspective. Similarly, in Numbers 11, when the Israelites grumbled against God in the wilderness, doubting His provision, God asked, "When did I become weak?" We must be careful not to pity God by thinking His strength and resources are constrained. He fed the masses with just a few loaves and fishes, and rained down manna to sustain His people. God's ability to work miracles is not diminished. If we will but enlarge our faith, we will see that our God is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond anything we can fathom. Let us not put God in a box of our own making, but believe wholeheartedly that He remains strong to save.
